🗒️ Overview: For Empathie, the culturally responsive mental health app I co-founded, I established a comprehensive design system to support our self-guided mobile experience for early intervention. Beginning with Asian Americans before expanding to other intersectional identities, our approach required a unified design foundation that could work across both iOS and Android from a single codebase. I strategically prioritized iOS design guidelines to align with our primary U.S. audience's preferences while ensuring the system could adapt to future cultural and platform expansions as we moved toward our public beta launch.
